TH 55 Corridor Coalition’s Booth at Wright Hennepin Annual Meeting

More than 2,100 local residents attended the Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association‘s 68th annual meeting in Rockford on Tuesday, March 22, 2005. Many of them had the opportunity to stop at the TH 55 Corridor Coalition’s booth to ask questions and express interest in the Coalition and its activities. Coalition members Marvin Johnson, Mayor of Independence; Wayne Fingalson, Wright County Engineer; Brent Morningstar, Wright Hennepin Electric; and Brad Larson, SRF Consulting Group were on hand to answer questions and update residents on the progress that has been made on upgrading TH 55 and the work that remains.

The message to the residents was that to ensure that TH 55 gets programmed, funded and constructed as soon as possible, the continual presence of the public voicing their support for the upgrade of TH 55 to our elected representatives and key policy-makers is essential. Those stopping by at the booth overwhelming supported the improvements to TH 55 which are urgently needed to make the highway a safe roadway for motorists.

The Coalition expresses its gratitude to Wright Hennepin Electric & Security for providing the Coalition the opportunity to have a booth and meet so many of the Association’s members.

Wright Hennepin provides electric power to Wright County and the western part of Hennepin County. The cooperative has been a charter member of the TH 55 Corridor Coalition and a corporate citizen in this area for more than 68 years and currently serves over 40,000 retail accounts.
